CAT 2026 Application Process
The CAT 2026 registration process is expected to begin in the first week of August 2026. The CAT exam application process for most colleges is online. The exams open up opportunities to get admission to various IIMs Campuses in India and other top B-Schools in India and across the world.
For the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), the CAT 2026 exam initial registration is part of the main application. For other top B-Schools in India, candidates have to apply separately through their official websites.
Candidates are advised to keep track of individual college application deadlines and complete the CAT 2026 application process within the specified timelines. The table below shows the application process for the top CAT-accepting colleges in India.

CAT 2026 Admit Card
The CAT 2026 admit card is expected to be released in the first week of November 2026. The admit card is an important document that must be carried on the CAT 2026 exam day. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on 29 November 2026.
Below is the detailed process to download the CAT 2026 admit card:
- Visit the official CAT website: iimcat.ac.in.
- Find and click on the ‘Registered Candidate Login’ button. Enter your User ID and Password created during the registration process.
- Once logged in, you will be redirected to your candidate dashboard. Click on the ‘Admit Card’ tab or a similarly named link.
- Your CAT 2026 admit card will be displayed on the screen. Carefully check all the details, including your name, CAT 2026 registration number, test center, exam date, and exam time.
- If all the information is correct, click on the ‘Download’ button to save the admit card in PDF format.
