Eligibility criteria

Admission to the MBBS, MD/MS/MDS, and other courses at AIIMS Rishikesh requires meeting specific eligibility standards and passing admission exams. MBBS aspirants must have at least 60% overall in their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. 

Admission is determined by performance in the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET). To pursue MD/MS/MDS, you must have an MBBS/BDS degree with a 55% overall score and have done an internship. The INICET is used to choose applicants for various programs.

For MBBS Course

  • Candidates must have cleared the NEET-UG exam.
  • Candidates must have secured at least 50% for the general category and a minimum of 45% for SC/ST/OBC categories.
  • The age of a candidate should be under 17 years (as of 31 Dec, 2025)

For PG programs

  • Candidates must have an MBBS degree from an MCI/NMC-recognized institute.
  • The candidate must have a valid NEET-PG score

Admission process in AIIMS Rishikesh

The admission process at AIIMS Rishikesh varies depending on the degree.  The NEET score is primarily used to determine eligibility for MBBS.  The INICET (Indian National Institute of Allied Health Sciences Common Entrance Test) is used for postgraduate courses such as MD, MS, and MDS.
