JEE Mains Exam Overview

JEE Mains Exam stands for Joint Entrance Examinations is a national level standard examination in India for admissions in colleges for higher education programs specifically for the Engineering programs. The exam is also the qualifying exam for JEE advance exam and the scores of exams are considered by some of the top colleges like IITs and NITs for admissions in undergraduate programs.
Every year around 10 lakhs students register for the JEE Mains Exam. The exam is conducted twice in a year by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It is a Computer based Test (CBT).
To pass the JEE Mains exam, the general category students are required to achieve at least 90-95 percentile. The exam is of total 300 marks and qualifying marks varies between 57 to 90 depending upon the category.
