Eligibility Criteria for studying MBBS in Nepal

Admission process for MBBS in Nepal

The Nepal Medical Commission administers the Medical Education Commission Entrance Examination (MECEE), which is a prerequisite for admission to the MBBS program in Nepal. However, NEET is required for Indian students. 

Apply online for an MBBS in Nepal by submitting the admission form with the required documents at the online admission portal of the medical college selected for studying MBBS. The important documents for admission in Nepal for MBBS are given below

  • Mark sheets of Class 10 and 10+2.

Admission to MBBS in Nepal thus is an easy process however some things keep changing such as admission guidelines and NMC rules and regulations to study MBBS in a foreign country. Along with it, hostel facilities at medical colleges are good though there may be a difference of few amenities from college to college or university to university but the overall experience of living as a student in Nepal is good. The hostels are comfortable with security and all the necessary things available. The cultural background of Nepal and India do not vary by a large margin so you would not feel like a foreigner. 

It is easy to adapt to the cultural and social norms there, the language of instruction for MBBS or other medical courses in English. However, no English language tests are mandatory and you will also find a plethora of students from India there. Indian food is easily available in a hotel mess or if you want to eat outside you can get it easily.  Nepal is also a good tourist destination for timely diversion from the hectic schedules of classes and studies.
