Dhaka National Medical College was founded in 1994. It is a non-political and non-profit organization. The college has a brand-new eleven-story educational building with sufficient facilities.

The educational system of Dhaka National Medical Institute became doomed, although the concorded hospital remained active, as a consequence of Bangladesh's 1972 independence.
