Asan Memorial College of Arts & Science (AMCAS) is a premier self-financing, co-educational institution in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, established in 1994 under the governance of the Asan Memorial Association. The college was formally inaugurated by His Excellency Shri. K. R. Narayanan, then Honourable Vice President of India, in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Vakkom Purushothaman, then Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar. Since its inception with four undergraduate courses and six faculty members, AMCAS has expanded to offer 11 undergraduate courses in Arts, Science, and Commerce, along with four postgraduate courses in Science and Management. In 2010, the college introduced Shift II, providing additional UG courses in Commerce, BBA, and BCA. The institution is committed to nurturing excellence in education, fostering an atmosphere of academic vigor, sportive spirit, and cultural vibrancy.
