Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science was established in the year 1985 and was converted into a university known as Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS) in the year 2007. It is a deemed-to-be University approved by UGC, AICTE, AIMA, International SAE and the ,American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics. It is a member of AIU and is accredited with IAO NBA and NAAC with A+ Grade. Currently, the university has over 100 courses for the students of UG and PG levels across multiple streams such as Engineering, Management, Law, Humanities, Science, etc.

HITS offers several UG and PG programs in different streams such as engineering, technology, architecture, management, law, fashion design, aviation, applied sciences, allied sciences, and arts. Regarding admission, Hindustan University accepts valid scorecards in respective entrance tests for all its courses.
