The Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science - (IACS) is a renowned scientific research institution based in Kolkata. Admissions
The institute is affiliated with the University Grants Commission (UGC) and conducts research in physics, chemistry, and chemical biology. IACS offers an Integrated Bachelor's and Master's degree in Science (B.Sc-M.Sc), an Integrated Master's and Ph.D. program in Biological Science (Int. M.Sc-Ph.D), and a Ph.D. programme. Admission to UG-PG and Integrated M.Sc-Ph.D. programs is based on an institute-organized entrance examination. Applicants for UG-PG must take the UG Pre-Interview Screening Test (UPST), while candidates for International M.Sc-Ph.D. must pass the Master's Pre-Interview Screening Test (MPST).
