Jai Prakash University (JPU) was established in 1990 in Chhapra, Bihar under the Bihar Universities Act 1976. Currently, the university consists of 21 constitute colleges and 11 affiliated colleges across Chhapra, Siwan, and Gopalganj. Admissions
Admission to Jai Prakash University’s UG courses is usually based on the 10+2 or Intermediate exam performance. Students have to appear for these exams from BSEB or any other recognised state or national board. In the case of PG programs such as M.Sc, M.Com, and M.A., students must have graduation certificates from recognised universities. The registration for the CET exam in 2025 is expected to begin by May and the exams are expected to be conducted in June. Cutoff
Jai Prakash University requires students to score at least 45% in their 10+2 exams for UG courses like B.Sc., B.A., and B.Ed.
