Jinan University was formerly known as Jinan Academy and it was founded in 1906 in Nanjing during the Qing dynasty. It was later renamed as Jinan School and was transferred to Shanghai and Fujian before being finally established in Guangzhou in 1958. Jinan University can be found in Guangzhou. Then, in 1984, it was registered with the World Health Organization (WHO) enabling international graduates to attend the qualification exam for doctors in their home countries.
