The National Institute of Engineering (NIE)  was established in 1946 and is one of India’s premier engineering institutions in Mysore. NIE Mysore is one of the premier institutions in providing quality education in engineering Having a robust academic curriculum and well-equipped infrastructure. According to the NIRF 2024 ranking, it ranks between 151-200 categories among the top engineering colleges in India. Affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Approved by UGC and AICTE &  accredited by NBA and NAAC, the institute provides quality education and innovative research in fields of study. 


NIE Mysore provides different types of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral level programs in the areas of engineering and management, in which Popular courses offered are B.E. in Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering, M.Tech in Structural Engineering MCA, and Ph.D., in Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and other streams.
